The one about going on vacation

I'm off like a dirty shirt. We're out of town for a week.

See you in the funny pages!
(Unless, of course, the plane crashes and we die in the ocean)

The one about the other CHA layouts

The other three layouts I did this week. I had fun doing these. It felt good to scrapbook again---its been a long time.

The one using the Red, Black, Cream collection is my favorite. The buttons in that one are the best (the best Jerry, the best!)

Crooked shot----I'm a dork.

I used a pencil instead of a black pen for the line work. Have to do that again; I liked it!

The one about the Savannah Collection

Been working on CHA layouts all week for Autumn Leaves. One of them was using Foof-A-La's Savannah Collection. Cuz, ya know, I happen to have a Savannah. :)

The one about the first entry

I was so excited to start this project, then of course, I was too busy with other things to create in it regularly. Here is my first quick artwork in the new calendar.

Quote at the bottom reads:
"The place to improve the world is first in one's own heart and head and hands and then work outward from there."

The one about The Maid

Just to clarify.
The maid is a one-time deal. Though it would be nice to have one all the time!

Our sweet Savannah was up on the DW2007 scrapbook calendar this weekened!

The one about 100 posts

This is my 100th post on this blog!
I don't know how many I had on my Typepad blog. I had it for a year and a half, though. Nothing really to say other than how it was 100 posts. lol

I scheduled a MAID to come clean my kitchen and bathrooms. he he he. One of my Christmas presents from Rob.

The one about being S L O W

artwork by Lynne Perrella

Its been slow on my blog.
I don't know what it is, but I haven't felt like there has been much to blog about lately. What a drag, man! I haven't been able to go to Curves much this month due to this and that and the other and I am starting to feel like a slug. I need my exercise to keep me out of the dumps and help me feel productive.
I got a haircut and color yesterday. Sometimes she cuts it shorter than I want. I have a helmut of short hair that I am not happy with. It looks so plain on me! I miss my hair!

I have committed to some really fun projects recently. Too many fun things...so little time!

I have been rounding up some of my extra stuff for the Vintage Ephemera Swap.

The Cabinet Of Curiosities Challenge on Kari's blog started today. Ever since I saw Lynne Perrella's cabinet of curios in Somerset Studios last fall, the idea has intrigued me.

Lilia and I are emailing back and forth setting up our journal project. Will be mailing our own books back and forth. Each will have a set theme, but be inspired in someway by the proceeding entry. Create a spread that is in response to the one proceeding it. I have wanted to do one of these for so long!

The one about the new canvases

My canvases came today! I had ordered 20 canvases from Blick. They are having a sale to get rid of the old style Blick canvases. So I got a pack of ten 16x20 and ten 6x12. I like to work BIG!

I started this piece a couple weeks ago but had to put it aside for some deadlines----I can't wait to get back to it before I forget was I was doing. lol Its a little bigger than 12x12 done on a scrapbook album cover. The album had come apart and I was going to throw it away, but decided I could collage on it instead. I have also saved a few shoebox lids. Help me! I've become a pack rat!

(The little girl with her finger in her mouth is me!)

The one about lunch

Nothing really to blog about lately.

Here's our girls today at lunch. I thought they looked cute. :) For once they wanted to eat something healthy; an apple. Savannah wanted the red one, not the yellow one. Amelia had Vienna Sausages. I think they smell and taste like blood. We call them Snot Dogs. lol. But hey, it's protein!

There is finally an Archiver's here! I wanna go see. I wonder what effect it will have on Pebbles, since they are so near each other.

I think
he's a dog, but I like this song lately. hee hee

The one about the calendar

So I forgot to get the new 2007 Autumn Leaves calendar going last week. I am in this one and was pretty excited about it. Well, Amelia was up on Thursday! I had made this page using a blog post from my old blog.

The one about my bangs

I have been growing my bangs out the last few months and it has been driving me crazy. Now they are long enough to tuck out of the way. Not sure if I like it or not. I feel insecure w/o my bangs. LOL I personally think I look better with them, but bangs are so last century, aren't they? So 80's and 90's.

The one about Nintendo

Maybe Nintendo ain't such a bad thing? We let them play all day New Year's Eve and we had a circus-free day. Look at those zombie faces!
Bobby was playing too, he just isn't in the picture. We made a deal with them if there was any fighting, we would never get the Nintendo out again, and it worked. Bobby traded with a friend to get this old Nintendo 64 and we haven't let it see the light of day until this weekend.

The one about Bobby's birthday

December 30.
Bobby's fourteenth birthday. (You gotta be fast to get a picture of Bobby) He is wearing the Zumiez shirt that caused all the trouble. LOL

The one about the Wish card

Another for the spirit card swap for Ruth's folder.

"Wish"

The whole thing is mounted on a playing card, but I used an old photo album frame that I cut out and painted blue. I like the curved top. Puffy gold stars from Papier Valise. Figure stamp from Hampton Art.
